RealMedNavigator does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, street address, Medicare number, or Social Security number. There is no account, no login, and no profile. The guide asks about your Medicare situation. It may also ask your birth month, and whether your birthday falls on the 1st, to work out your sign-up dates. Notes and the optional feedback form hold whatever you choose to type. We suggest never typing your Medicare or Social Security number anywhere in the guide.

Your answers, bookmarks, and notes are saved in the browser you are using, on this device. When you use the guide without sharing a session, they are not sent to us. The browser also keeps your language choice and a random code that lets sharing recognize this browser.

Saved sessions stay on this computer. A PIN is a simple lock, not a safe.

When you share a session, the shared work (answers, bookmarks, and notes) passes through our server, along with what is needed to keep everyone’s screens in step, such as which screen is open. We do not attach your name or an account to the server copy. The temporary server copy is erased when someone ends sharing for everyone, or when everyone in the session stops sharing. It is also erased 90 minutes after the last change anyone in the session makes, and it is never kept longer than 24 hours. After a session ends, the server keeps only the session code and the time it ended, for about a day, so the other devices know it is over. None of this erases the work saved on each person’s device. Each participant’s device keeps a copy of the shared answers, bookmarks, and notes after sharing ends.

To block repeated wrong codes and limit how many sessions are started from one place, our server briefly keeps a scrambled form of your internet address. It is deleted within about an hour.

If you choose to send the “Share your feedback (optional)” form, your answers go through formsubmit.co, a form service, to the RealMedNavigator inbox so we can improve the tool. The guide does not send your session answers with it or ask for your contact details. Like any website, the form service receives your internet address and browser details when you send it. Feedback emails are kept in our inbox for review.

The guide and its sharing server are hosted by Vercel, and shared sessions are stored temporarily with Upstash. Like any web host, these companies receive technical information such as internet addresses and browser details in order to run the service. They handle it under their own privacy policies.

RealMedNavigator does not set cookies and does not use analytics or third-party trackers. We do not sell your information or share it with advertisers or data brokers. Because we do not track you across websites, a browser’s “Do Not Track” setting does not change anything here.

When you choose to share the app with someone, you do so through your own messaging app, email, or clipboard. What is sent is a link to this tool and, on most devices, a short message. None of your answers, bookmarks, or notes go with it. If you use Share, Copy, or Save as PDF on your summary, the summary, including your answers, goes wherever you send or save it. It goes through your own apps, not through us.

RealMedNavigator is intended for adults navigating Medicare. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from children.
